Costa Tropical

This lovely coastline runs to the east of Malaga, and while there has been a great deal of coastal development, the density is nowhere near as high as on the Costa del Sol. It’s easy to get away from the crowds. The mountains run down to the sea, and the coast is defined by a series of coves and promontories and picturesque villages. The beaches are sandy, and the waters clear blue. Villages to investigate include La Herradura, pretty, unspoilt, and tucked away between the promontories of Cerro Gordo and Punta de la Mona, home of the renowned Marina del Este yacht harbour. Also, the lovely village of Salobreña with its Moorish castle and sugar cane plantations.
